When providing logos and other artwork please note that there are 2 types of digital artwork files we work with.
Vector based files:
In order to imprint or screen-print your logo on promotional items, a vector based artwork file is required. These artwork files have been put together by a graphic artist with the aid of a computer graphics art software program. Adobe Illustrator and Corel Draw are the popular graphic art software programs of the day. These programs formulate the artwork using an algebraic formula enabling the artwork to be enlarged or shrunk without losing clarity. This artwork can also be manipulated and edited. This type of artwork is the preferred artwork and in many instances the only artwork that will be accepted for applications such as decals, mugs, calculators, etc. These files generally have title extensions such as: eps, .ai, or .cdr. These files also e-mail rapidly as they do not require a lot of digital space.
Bitmap image files or scanned files:
These files will provide an idea of what the logo looks like, but cannot be edited or manipulated. They cannot be re-sized with clarity. These are acceptable files for embroidery digitizing only. These files have extensions such as: .jpeg, tiff, bmp. These files typically take up a lot of digital space and take a long time to email. Examples of Artwork that are not vector based are: photographs, letterhead, photocopies, business cards, etc. If re-drawing or creation of artwork is required, a quotation will be provided.
